Super Fire Engine for Hillsborough International Oyster Festival. - 21/08/2007

Browns Coachworks has designed and built a unique fire engine to help raise money for Action Cancer. The Fire Engine will make its debut at the Hillsborough International Oyster Festival on Saturday 1st September.Brian Brown owner and managing director of Browns, who is also on the board of trustees of Action Cancer, said, “When Action Cancer made its proposals to the Hillsborough Oyster Festival committee I had agreed to provide this fire engine as a new ‘Feature” to add to the already fabulous event

'We must help Action Cancer to save even more lives and support people affected by Cancer in Northern Ireland.'

"This one-off vehicle is brightly coloured with cartoon images of fire fighters at work, and is complete with various fire engine siren sounds and a bell."

Brian went on to say: “At Browns Coachworks we get many requests from children and adults alike just to sit in a fire engine and with factory machinery it’s not always possible. This way everyone has the opportunity not only to sit in one but to also ride in it. The Fire engine will be on show at the Down Royal ‘Action Cancer Race Day’ on Friday 31st August.

Operating rides from 2pm Saturday 1st September and Sunday 2nd in Hillsborough. Fire fighter helmets will also be available to purchase."

I am delighted that everyone at Browns is dedicated to working with Action Cancer thereby helping them to save even more lives and support people affected by cancer in Northern Ireland.
