Campbell College Junior P5 have Fun Day at Browns - 08/11/2007

Pupils of P5 Campbell College had an interesting and fun morning at Browns today. Along with their teachers Mrs.Gwynne and Mrs.Needham the boys were shown around the factory by Brian Brown, Jacqueline and Ernie Hall the Workshop Manager.

8th November 2007.

They started off in the design and planning office where David Steel Senior Design Engineer explained how a Fire Engine was built on computer. They then progressed to the shop floor to see the real thing.

Then it was the time to try out for themselves how to hold a hose for fire fighting. fortunately it was not for real but only to knock down cones. All the boys were successfull and seemed to enjoy this a lot.

Then it was time to take a ride in the very special little fire engine which was designed and built by Browns to help raise money for Action Cancer.

During the visit the boys got a sneak preview of the SOS Bus due to be launched on 21st November.

The party rounded off the day in the boardroom with snacks and drinks.Brian Brown then said he was delighted to have hosted the visit of pupils and teachers from Campbell College and offered a warm welcome for a return visit.
